Bodies
This class began with the observation of animate/inanimate, human/non-human forms and their inter-connectivity to each other. Beginning with a series of short "sketches" (drawing, video, writing and photographs) each student sculpted a section of themselves from the sensorial/ inhabited knowledge of their own body and then sculpted an observed body- one that is remembered (re-membered). Working with these two bodies, a series of sculptural investigations followed that worked with connecting materials, scale and form together.
