Vibrant Matter
The first workshop component of the 3rd year course centred around themes of Matter with a technical emphasis on casting and mould making. Jane Bennett’s book Vibrant Matter was used as an inspirational springGboard for the class. Each student was asked to research and develop an idea and collect a series of objects. Moulds were made of these objects and cast into tin and bronze. Final work was presented in a professional environment and documented.
