Emma Kirby
I am currently exploring abstract art as a visual and musical language through the investigation of organic forms in painting. The influence of colour theory by the Bauhaus artists, namely Wassily Kandinsky and Josef Albers, is present in my work. Textural rhythms of colour, geometric shapes and sound frequencies of visual pattern are shifting forms that I reflect on while painting.
