This recent series further explores the fragile and temporal nature of the body as a vessel. This work explores disembodiment in relation to mortality and how this manifests within the body in physiological way. The idea of autoimmunity, in how the body can turn against itself from the inside out, is iterated in emphasising the displacement and separation of the body from itself. This series places specific focus on grief and the body’s response to coping with the futility of attempting to protect itself.
